Responsible Liquor Service

The AGLC is committed to the responsible service and consumption of liquor products.

To help liquor licensees and the public meet the social responsibility requirements set out in legislation, regulation and policy, the AGLC has developed a number of programs and tools.

For more information about them, please refer to the menu at left, and visit our companion websites:

We also participate in many joint initiatives such as Best Bar None (BBN), a voluntary program aiming to reduce alcohol-related harms by raising the operating standards of licensed premises. This program uses a system of accreditation, assessment and awards to engage nightspots in responsible management and safe operations.

We encourage and facilitate positive relationships amongst licensees, law enforcement, industry partners and community groups.
